RARE WW1 GERMANY PRUSSIAN RESERVISTS SPIKED HELMET PICKELHAUBE (KUGELHELM)

Offered is a very good condition pre WW1 enlisted German Reservists Kugelhelm. This lovely piece retains the 1 piece brass Prussian helmet plate, with pre war detailed features and the rarely seen reservist cross, which has been period attached to the waist of the eagle. The lacquered leather shell is in exceptionally good condition, showing only light wear and minor crazing. The original cockades are present but refinished, with the original leather chinstrap with twin buckles firmly attached. The circular spike base retains the fixed ventilated ball top with a small indentation to top. The domed rivets are all present and hold all the metal features firmly in place. The rear spine and ventilator are present. The original brown leather liner is present with all fingers showing light wear, mainly to the rare section. The front and rear skirt are firmly attached, showing the original heavy stitching and gilded brass front visor trim. Approx size. 57. This Prussian Reservists Artillery helmet is in very good condition, with all the original parts, which is generally not the case with these 100 year old pieces.
