Offered is an original fine example of the Whittingslowe Australian Army Utility Knife in it's leather scabbard.
The knife features plain wooden grips, with 3 screw in sections, being the peackock style pommel design with the original diamond knuckle guard, being stamped with the broad arrow and 'I'. The blade features a sharpened edge, measuring 15 cm long and is maker marked 'WE' for Whittingslowe Engineering, South Australia. The knife fits smoothly into the leather scabbard, which shows some light use & wear. The scabbard retains the twin slits for belt attachment & fastener straps. The knife is a classic amongst collectors, especially in this very good condition. Most I have come across have had pitted blades and torn or missing scabbards. These are very hard to find for sale these days, being a private purchase wartime piece, these are highly collectable.
