WW2 GERMAN RURAL POLICE PARADE BAYONET, SCABBARD, FROG AND KNOT

Description

WW2 German Rural Police Parade bayonet & scabbard. Weimar era shortened parade bayonet, maker marked example by Carl Eickhorn, Sollingen. Excellent 33 cm long cut down blade. The nickel finish on this is near spotless, acceptance stamp of the Prussian Police Procurement Office(Beschaffungsamt) stamped to the spine of blade. Single up swept cross guard with oak leaves are stamped L.M.206. for a unit in the Limburg-Weilburg region, stylized eagle head pommel is also in good condition. Shortened stag grip handles show one original old grip stud hole and one small crack on the back grip, early brass Nazi Police eagle with swastika in wreath is firmly in place. Brown sewn leather scabbard and nickel/silver plated alloy fittings are both in very good condition and has matching stamping L.M.206. to the top fitting of scabbard. Brown leather frog is in good condition and still supple, frog Is maker marked to Jacobi&Co, NH.K.Stubbe, Cronenberg 1929, also another stamp S.P, Essen, frog also comes with parade knot for the rural police.  Lovely condition matching number issue bayonet, scabbard, frog and knot that would display well in any collection.
