Offered is an Army Paratrooper’s badge, being of the mid war zinc variety, most likely made by C.E. Junker of Berlin (not marked), with remains of gilt wash to wreath & eagle, as well as silver frosting wash to central eagle. The pin has been period replaced (pre 1945), most likely a Foster & Barth repair. The badge is a good wartime piece, being one which a pre war Army paratrooper would have purchased in order to wear, most notably to distinguish himself apart from the much more common Luftwaffe qualified paratrooper’s.
