A First World War George V Distinguished Conduct Medal, impressed named to 9677 FAR. SJT: W. W. CANHAM. D.75/BDE: R.F.A. Toned overall, in very good condition. Farrier Sergeant Walter William Canham served with the 75th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery on the Western Front (France) from 20th December 1914, winning the Distinguished Conduct Medal for conspicuous gallantry & devotion to duty ….when bringing up ammunition under heavy shell fire.
