WW2 Australian 2/28th Bn service medal group to WX27455 Howarth. 1939-45 Star, Pacific Star, Defence & War Medal, ASM 1939-45 & ASM 1945–75, with PNG bar. All medals are named to WX27455 E. HOWARTH and court mounted for display. Private Ernest Howarth was born in Toolbin, WA 5th January 1915, enlisting for service 17th July 1942 with 2/28th Battalion, discharging 9th January 1946. Family purchased, with wedding photo. Sadly Ernest committed suicide in 1981 having never applied for his medals, which were issued to the family in 1998.
