WW2 GERMAN S.A. MODEL 1933 1ST PATTERN DAGGER, SCABBARD AND HANGER BY HAMMESFAHR OF SOLINGEN
Features mid brown wood grip which fits the crossguards correctly, retaining both eagle and roundel, both of which sit firmly in the grip. Eagle looks to have been put back to grip with good repair to underside of wing. Cross guards are correct nickel type, with the lower guard being Gau stamped ‘S’ for region Schlesien. The very good condition Hammesfahr & Cie of Solingen maker marked blade measures 22 cm and is etched with the motto “Alles für Deutschland” (All for Germany). Correct anodised scabbard retains much of its brown finish, with some rust spotting to upper side of scabbard panel. Some brown coating to upper chape. The leather hanger is present to suspension ring.
