WW2 GERMAN FIRE SERVICE DAGGER/BAYONET & SCABBARD SWORD BY E PACK & SONS

Offered is a late 1930’s era Robert Klaas of Solingen made German Fire Service dress sidearm (Faschinemesser) with scabbard. Features nickel plated steel fittings, with solid pommel & hatched composite black grips, with opposing metal quillioned guard. The 25 cm long nickel plated steel blade shows the ‘blood groove’ to the centre of each side of the blade and maker marked with ‘blacksmith’s’ trademark and mark for E. Pack & Sohne, Solingen. Standard unsharpened blade with light use and runner marks to nickel plating as shown, retaining original brown leather washer. Standard metal scabbard, with some wear to original black enamel finish. Overall length: 40cm long. A good used example, pre war made quality, as issued to men of the German Fire Service for use between 1936 and 1945.
