WW1 WW2 AUSTRALIAN 303 RIFLE BAYONET SCABBARD SWORD ARMY 1917 SANDERSON SWORD

Offered is an original 1917 dated & Australian Issued Sanderson made First World War 1907 pattern bayonet with scabbard. Bayonet & scabbard features steel fittings, with Australian issue stamped pommel & working release button, used condition wooden grips and metal guard. The 43 cm long steel blade shows the โ€˜blood grooveโ€™ to the centre of each side of the blade and stamped Sanderson (Sanderson Brothers & Newbould Ltd), dated for November 1917. The blade being factory sharpened only, with most of the original protective blued finish to blade. Standard leather & metal WW1 issue marked scabbard. Overall length: 58cm long. A near mint example bayonet, as used with the classic Short Magazine Leeโ€“Enfield No. 1 Mk. III service rifle.
