WW2 1907 BRITISH INDIAN BAYONET MKI WSC & SCABBARD FIGHTING KNIFE WLKINSON SWORD

Offered is a Cut down 1907 pattern Wilkinson era  Bayonet with scabbard, converted WW2 to the Mk I pattern and Field refitted 1956. Bayonet features a steel pommel with working external release button, with screw in Wooden grips and metal guard & muzzle ring. The 30 cm long steel blade shows W.S.C. factory stamps with first legible date 22 (1922 also an 11 stamp referring to month), Imperial British conversion stamps to MK I** pattern and Indian Army FR 56 (Armoury Field Repair 1956). Very good condition overall with factory black re bluing 95% present. Standard metal and leather scabbard in good condition. Quality British bayonet that has seen long service but been very well maintained.
