WW2 & NAVAL CADET CORPS MEDAL GROUP OF 6 TO TEMP LT COMMANDER SISSONS RNR

Offered is a group of 6 WW2 British Campaign and Cadet Medals to Temporary Lt Commander A.G.Sissons. R.N.R. 1939-45 Star, Atlantic Star, Burma Star, Defence Medal and War Medal. All unnamed as issued; Cadet Forces Medal impressed named TY.LT.CDR. (S.C.C.). A.G.SISSONS. R.N.R. Medals period style swing mounted. Comes with copy London Gazette 28/8/1954. It is believed that he was with the Royal Navy during the war serving in the Atlantic and Burma Campaign. He subsequently joined the Sea Cadet Corps as an instructor on the 19/2/1953. He appears on the Royal Naval Lists as late as spring 1970. Established 1st February 1950 the Cadet Forces Medal is awarded to recognise long and efficient service by Commissioned Officers and non commissioned adult instructors of the UK Cadet Forces: The Army Cadet Force, the Air Training Corps, the Sea Cadets and Combined Cadet Force, and Commissioned Officers of the New Zealand Cadet Forces. It is awarded for 12 years service.
