WW2 British Army officer’s ‘North Africa’ Military Cross & Mentioned in Despatches medal group.

Military Cross G.VI.R, reverse officially dated 1942; 39-45 Star; Africa Star, clasp “1st ARMY”; Italy Star; France & Germany Star; 39-45 British War Medal. All unnamed as issued and court mounted. The backing shows that this group has been worn often judging by the wear. The Africa Star displays a 1st Army Clasp. The 1st Army landed in Tunisia on November 1942 during operation Torch, the allied invasion of French North Africa. It is possible that this Military Cross was awarded for that action.
