WW2 era British/Commonwealth General Officer’s General Staff peaked cap. Doe skin wool brown body, with applied carmine centre band with bullion woven General Officer’s badge, sewn directly to band and crown, mid brown leather chinstrap, twin gilded G.O. buttons, twin sets of air vents to rear, firm peak. Interior shows orange protective covered & maker tagged for Hawkes & Co. Saville Row, London. Silken lining showing separation to sides, leather sweatband firmly in place. Very good overall.
