‘Double’ India General Service Medals to Gunner J.G. Webb of the Royal Artillery.

India General Service Medal 1908 – 35 with clasp “NORTH WEST FRONTIER 1935”. Impressed named 822677 GNR.J. WEBB RA. & India General Service Medal 1936 – 39, with clasp “NORTH WEST FRONTIER 1936-37”. Impressed named 822677 GNR.J.G. WEBB RA. Medals court mounted for display.

Medals come with copies medal rolls, Artillery discharge record and basic research. Gunner John George Webb served with the 81st Battery of the 5th Field Regiment at the time of the awards. Gunner Webb transferred to the Pioneer Corps 13/4/1941. To Z Class reserve 13/1/1946. Discharge age limit 1958. The 5th Field Regiment R.A. were stationed in Rawalpindi & Nowshera India 1939-41. Then to Malaya 1941, with the 9th Indian Division who fought in Malaya and POW in Singapore.
