Description

Offered is a Vietnam era modified US M5A1 Bayonet with M8 scabbard for the M16 Rifle & M4 Carbine.

Bayonet features a steel pommel with working external release button, with screw in black plastic grips and metal guard & muzzle ring. The metal guard is stamped US M5A1 MILPAR COL. The 17 cm long steel blade shows period double edge factory and field sharpened blade edge, being in generally very good condition overall with factory black bluing 85% present. Standard M8A1 metal and composite scabbard, retaining chromed metal and webbing belt stud in good condition. Iconic Vietnam era bayonet, showing Australian issue stampe to rear of the green canvas frog.
