Offered is an original British Army ‘Emergency Reserve’ decoration. 55mm high oval silver and silver-gilt award in the form of an oak wreath with the cipher of Queen Elizabeth II centrally, a crown above; the reverse plain, with date 1960 to base, on original ribbon with silver ‘ARMY EMERGENCY RESERVE’ bar sewn to ribbon. The Decoration was instituted on 17 November 1952 to be awarded for 12 years’ commissioned service in the Army Emergency Reserve.
