WW2 GERMAN KS98 PARADE BAYONET, SCABBARD & FROG BY GUSTAV SPITZER MAUSER RIFLE

Offered is an original DK 98 "Dress" KS98 pattern bayonet with scabbard & frog.

Bayonet features nickle guard and birds-head pommel with working release button, black hatched composite grips secured with steel pins, left side of pommel show edge damage. The 24.5cm long plated steel blade shows the GUSTAV SPITZER SOLINGEN name and strutting Lion makers logo. The blades non sharpened with a very good finish to surface bar minor plate wear near point, leather buffer washer present. Rolled steel scabbard is undented with remnants of black dress paint to body. Bayonet complete with original walking out black leather scabbard showing only light wear. Overall length, not including scabbard: 37cm long.

A good used example of a WW2 German army dress bayonet, as used with the classic K98 service rifle for parade purposes or worn as part of your dress uniform when on leave.
