WW2 ROYAL AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE UNIFORM FLYING PEAKED CAP RAAF HAT

Description

Offered is an original WW2 RAAF uniform dark blue peaked cap. A rather used and dust example, nicely shaped for pilot or crew member. The chinstrap and side buttons look to have been period removed for flying duties (from vets we have spoken to, this was common in order to stop headphones and other straps getting caught up in the cap), with K.C. bullion cap badge and desert/tropical cover. UK tailor tagged for Carr Son & Woor LTD Saville Rowe, London, with faint traces of name initials (can’t make out anything) and date for what looks like 17. 9. 1941. Shaped, aged, worn etc. A nice old timer.
