Ribbon has an additional award bar, the medal being housed in its original Royal Australian Mint award case, along with the mounted miniature & ribbon bar, both retaining their additional service devices. Constable Rayner was awarded his National Medal 23rd of October, 1981, with his additional service bar 3rd of September, 1985.
