POST WW2 VIETNAM WAR AUSTRALIAN ARMY UNIFORM AKUBRA SLOUCH HAT & BADGE 1968 DATE

Description

Offered is an original 1968 dated Australian Army Akubra slouch hat, by Dunkerley LTD.

Very good felt cloth, nicely shaped/bashed, retaining original pugaree, leather chinstrap, leather sweatband, maker marked, dated 1968 and sized 6 3/8 ‘Made in Australia’. Retains type 5 rising sun hat badge, pierced through brim, retaining suspension clip. The side mounting clip is present, but pulled away from the old thread sewing, which can easily be repaired. A nice, mid war period issued hat, perfect for re-enacting or display. This being the original Akubra.
