WX4228 KIA 16 BN COUSIN VICTORIA CROSS WINNER MEDALS AUSTRALIAN ARMY SADLEIR WW2

Offered is an original pair of WW2 medals, awarded to WX4228 John Crofton Sadleir, who was killed in action in Lebaanon, 13/6/1941, whilst serving with 2/16th Battalion. Medals include Defence & ASM 19139-45, both correctly impressed WX4228 J. C. SADLIER. Medals in excellent condition. He died aged 41 and was the cousin of Lt. Clifford William King Sadlier VC (1892 - 1964). Comes with full copied service record and related research, showing he was also Mentioned in Despatches.
