Offered is an original pair of WW2 medals, awarded to WX4228 John Crofton Sadleir, who was killed in action in Lebaanon, 13/6/1941, whilst serving with 2/16th Battalion. Medals include Defence & ASM 19139-45, both correctly impressed WX4228 J. C. SADLIER. Medals in excellent condition. He died aged 41 and was the cousin of Lt. Clifford William King Sadlier VC (1892 – 1964). Comes with full copied service record and related research, showing he was also Mentioned in Despatches.
