NAMED WW2 ROYAL AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE UNIFORM JACKET WITH PATCHES & BADGES RAAF

Offered is an original WW2 era uniform jacket, shirt & pants, belonging to Group Captain Maximilian Louis Creightmore (formerly Kreitmayer), who came from a German family, who had moved to Australia in the early 1900’s, to which he changed his surname only 5 months before the start of WW2. He enlisted for service in Decemeber 1939, being a qualified doctor of medicine, he saw service in North Africa with 450 & 451 Sqn (Desert Harassers) and became the Chief Medical Officer for the RAAF in the UK in 1944.
