Description

Offered is an original General Service Medal 1962-2007, with clasp Northern Ireland, to Private Harriman, who served there with the Green Howards (Alexandra, Princess of Wales’s Own Yorkshire Regiment).

36mm circular silver medal with ornate scrolled ribbon suspension bar with ‘NORTHERN IRELAND’ clasp; the face with the crowned head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, circumscribed ‘ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F.D.’ (Elizabeth II by the Grace of God Queen Defender of the Faith); the reverse inscribed centrally ‘FOR CAMPAIGN SERVICE’, a Tudor crown above, all within an oak wreath; attributed on the edge to 25104459 PTE M HARRIMAN GH; very good condition, on original ribbon, mounted, as worn.

The General Service Medal with Northern Ireland Clasp was awarded for 30 days service between 14th August 1969 and 31st July 2007.
