The neck badge measuring 51mm wide, with near flawless white enamel solid silver Maltese cross with a ribbed fan with eyelet between the upper arms and loop for neck ribbon suspension, a silver lion between the arms upper left and lower right, a silver unicorn between the arms lower left and upper right; both face and reverse plainlt finished plain reverse, locking bolts and suspension ring, with short length of award ribband. The 68mm wide breast badge of same design as the neck badge, flawless enamel, with thin pin to rear, showing toning overall.

The Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knight of Grace set of insignia is the 3rd highest grade of the order.

The Order was instituted on 14 May 1888 and is an Order of Chivalry of the British Crown, the reigning monarch being Sovereign Head of the Order. The Order is a major international charity providing medical care, first aid and support in more than 40 countries worldwide and focussing especially on those in poverty.
