WW2 ERA AUSTRALIAN ARMY COLONEL UNIFORM JACKET ARTILLERY ROYAL VISIT MEDAL

Khaki wool jacket, 4 pocket type, MTX tagged, with red lapel gorgets with gilt KC Australia map buttons, full KC colonel rank devices, with KC bimetal RAA buttons, which had replaced the WW2 oxidised buttons that were located in the top left pocket, above which retains 3 rows of WW2 era ribbons, including the Royal Victorian Medal (RVM), most likely awarded for one of the post WW2 royal ‘thank you’ visits and Meritorious Service Medal (MSM), meaning our Colonel was once a ranker. Retains belt and shows scattered moth nips and damage as shown. Lining the khaki silk type, showing much wear, etc. Larger size, approx 40. Ex. RAA Museum exhibit item.
