Offered is a 1939 – 45 Star, Atlantic Star, War Medal (1939 – 45), Naval General Service Medal (1915 – 62), with clasp MINESWEEPING 1945 – 51. Only the N.G.S.M is impressed named C/JX. 139632 R.A. TREVAIL. A.B. R.N. Swing mounted as worn however missing the pin to the medal bar. Approximately 4,800 clasps were awarded Reuben Arscott Trevail was born in 1918 in Devon and died in January 1961 at Suffolk. C/JX suffix = C Chatham. JX = Seamen and Communications who would have enlisted under the standard 12 years plus optional 10 years to qualify for pension.
