Havildar (Corporal) Ramzan Ali, served with the 1st Battalion 113 Infantry in Mesopotamia (Iraq) he is probably also entitled to the British War and Victory Medals 1914 – 18. The 1/113 were stationed in India at the outbreak of the war and remained there until March 1917 when they disembarked at Basra on 31/3/1917. He was probably issued his GSM medal at Ajmer in 1924 as he was still serving at this date.
