Description

Offered is a Royal Australian Air Force set of pilot qualification wings. Flat type, with machine sewn cotton woven features. Retains paper backing to reverse, with good luck written details in ink, dated 5th March 1942. Measures 125mm x 38mm. Excellent condition. First ‘good luck’ set of wings I have seen.

The type issued/awarded for WW2 service, featuring the King’s Crown (pre 1953).
