AUSTRALIAN ARMY SPECIAL AIR SERVICE REGIMENT OPERATOR STATUE VIETNAM WAR SASR
$200.00
SOLD
This exquisitely detailed cold cast bronze figurine proudly remembers the Special Air Service personnel who saw service during the Vietnam War.
The statue is a Special Air Service Regiment trooper in patrol order with modified L1A1 rifle, US ERDL camouflage fatigues, US Jungle boots, and a mixture of British pattern 44 and US M56 webbing and gear. His fatigues are etched with the ERDL camouflage pattern, and the sculpture's base features bamboo foliage and the SASR Winged Dagger badge. These were produced in conjunction with S.A.S.R. and were a limited run of 500, so each has it’s own individual number to the base.
The statue stands 34cm tall and is one of the best designed and made pieces I have come across. While the design shows a Special Forces trooper, this could easily relate to any of the 49,211 personnel who served in Vietnam between 1962 and 1975 and this would make a great gift or display piece. Limited run, these simply will not last long. It is our pleasure to have these for sale and we are sure you will have this as pride of place in your own collection, or simply as a remembrance piece of your time in the ‘J’.
The statue comes in it’s own protective Styrofoam case inside the outer card display carton.
