Offered is a Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (VR issue), impressed named JOHN FEENEY, SERGT NO 2643 PLYMO R.M.L.I. Medal practically as struck, in exceptional condition. Comes with copy service record. Sargent John Feeney was born on the 12/6/1855 at Manchester, a baker by trade he enlisted into the Royal Marine Light Infantry 12/5/1881. He served on the following H.M. ship and shore bases: Plymouth Division 16/7/81 – 10/10/82, H.M.S. Indus 11/10/1882 – 30/9/1884. Plymouth Division 1/10/84 – 28/11/88, H.M.S. Cleopatra 29/11/88 – 20/7/92, Plymouth Division 21/7/92 – 27/7/1894. He was promoted to Corporal 11/3/1882 and Sergeant 5/12/1884....
