Herbert Leslie Pleydell, hospital wardsman, age 37, born at Warrnambool, Victoria. Enlisted 26 April 1916 at South Head, Sydney, NSW, while serving in RAGA, with previous service with 3rd NSW Mounted Rifles in Boer War. Embarked overseas 29 July 1916; TOS 338 Aust Siege Bty 03 January 1917; to Bombardier 24 July 1917; WIA 04 October 1917 (GSW head and leg) France; TOS 55 Siege Bty 04 December 1917; to ER-Cpl (Extra Regimental Corporal) 12 September 1918; RTA 13 July 1919; Disembodied 02 September 1919; Discharged 17 November 1919.
