John Charles Cockburn was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and enlisted into the 10th Light Horse Regiment aged 18 5/12 at Perth 2/11/1915. He served overseas, was A.W.O.L. etc numerous times and transferred as a driver with the 38th Battery A.F.A., being wounded in the back 9/10/1918. Discharged 22/3/1919 and died in Perth in 1991.
