WW1 – WW2 German Army 1852 pattern cavalry sword scabbard & knot by WKC Germany.

Toned nickel plated steel fittings, pierced multi piece guard, backstrap, all showing some plating loss and flecking, fish skin grip with wire wrap. 82cm long, slightly curved nickel blade, in good condition, WKC with trademark showing to ricasso. Blade fits well into the single ring hanger nickel plated scabbard, which has a large type portepee knot and cord tied to the suspension ring. Nice used example, measuring 98cm overall.

Paperwork showing this was acquired in Boulogne, France in 1961 and then taken to Pretoria, South Africa the same year. The sword then came to Perth at some point I bought this many years ago.
