Medals are swing mounted as worn and include: 1939-45 Star; War Medal 1939-45, both engraved, ‘22561650 PTE D GIRARD R.A.S.C.’; Korea 1950-53 impressed named to 22561650 PTE D GIRARD R.A.S.C. & U.N. Korea 1950-54, un-named as issued. From the combination, Girard may have been a P.O.W. at Dunkirk, given his lack of Defence Medal or Campaign Stars. Certainly worth of further research.
