***SOLD*** 1854 pattern, Queen Victoria era, Officer’s Sword. Features a gilded branched guard, with Royal Cypher VR & crown, with ornate scrolled/chequered halved back strap. The wire bound fish skin grip is in good condition, with light use/wear. The 85cm long, straight blade shows the maker mark for HOBSON & SONS LONDON, with light wear & age spots overall, but generally good bright original finish. The leather & brass scabbard is in very good condition, with no dents or damage, retaining its twin floating suspension rings, with good original stitching to leather spine. Overall length: 100cm.
