Offered is a unmarked European 1800s (from M16 to M83) pattern Cavalry sword unmarked for export, possibly US Civil war. Features a full 3 bar brass grip and pommel guard protecting the brown leather over wood grip held secure by wire twist bindings, leather 95% present with 5% of wood visible.The full tang single edged straight Cuirassiers style blade is 80cm long with fuller, surface shows light signs of age and polish wear. Blade and guard are unmarked as were weapons destined to be exported to wars were the manufacturer was not wishing to be seen to be favouring any side...
