Offered is an original 3rd Sindian’s Infantry Contigent uniform helmet plate/badge. Professionally 85mm x 67mm, die cast, convex star burst badge, with applied centre piece, with hand finished numeral 3, on faded red cotton background. Reverse shows string tied centre piece, with repaired loop & replacemd fixing pin to rear. Vendor states this was used during the Indian Mutiny of 1857.
