***SOLD*** 1854 pattern, Queen Victoria era, General Officer’s Sword. Features a gilded branched guard, with crossed baton/sword & crown, with ornate scrolled/chequered halved back strap. The wire bound fish skin grip is in good condition, with some wear/chip points. The 82cm long, straight blade shows very good frosted etchings of foliate patterns with royal cypher, crossed baton/sword & crown. Maker marked for ‘C. SMITH & SON. NEW BURLINGTON STREET. LONDON’, with light wear & some nicks towards blade point, but generally good bright original finish. The grey metal scabbard is in very good condition, with no dents or damage, retaining...
