2nd pattern Nazi Germany NSKK dagger with scabbard by Gottlieb Hammesfahr, Solingen-Foche
Offered is a 2nd pattern Nazi Germany NSKK dagger with scabbard by Gottlieb Hammesfahr, Solingen-Foche. Dagger features wooden grip retains SA roundel, party eagle & swastika and is in good condition with no dents. Nickel plated cross guards are in very good condition with no loss of plating at all. 22cm blade is in exceptionally fine condition with most of the original cross graining still present. The clean etched motto – Alles Fur Deutschland (All For Germany) is crisp and clear, with RZM mark M7/67 present, followed by the date of manufacture 38 (19380. The fit between the handle, cross guard and scabbard is near perfect showing that the dagger has not been mismatched over the years, with the distinctive ‘click’. The scabbard features nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings and are in very good condition, as is the main body and 99% of its original black coating, with very minor enamel age crazing. Lower chape exhibits some loss of nickel plating, but does not detract overall condition. Overall an exceptional dagger, in near perfect condition, which would be difficult to find in a better condition anywhere.
