Offered is a very good example of a US Military Model 1819 Flintlock Pistol dated ‘1821’. 25cm 0.54 calibre round barrel, with brass blade front sight and marked at breech; “JDJ”(inspector), “P”(PROOF), and “U.S”. Lock moves well and has a sliding safety catch and is marked; “S. NORTH” an “EAGLE”, “U S”, and “MIDLtn, CONN.” and the date ‘1821’. Regulation steel furniture, showing some light pitting overall. Moveable ramrod which slides in and out of stock with no issues. Stock is in very good condition with very little wear. Measures 40cm long. In good mechanical working order.
