Model 1909 short sword/bayonet with scabbard. Very good steel furniture overall with correct wooden grips, working release button, opposing guard with serial number DO3593 (with matching serial number to scabbard). Swelled bayonet blade measures 37.5cm long and features the single edge & thick spine. German maker stamped 'WEYERSBURG KIRSCHBAUM & CI - SOLINGEN' & 'MODELO ARGENTINO 1909' with Argentine crest to forte. Comes with the scabbard, which shows very light wear/ age overall. Overall the bayonet and scabbard measure 52.5cm long. This represents a well made sword/bayonet, in great condition, which saw service only with the Argentinian Army (on sold bayonets had the country crest removed) and also, a matching made set.
