AUSTRALIA S.J.A.B.O 1938.; pin mounted, as awarded and comes in original issue fitted box of issue, marked on the inside lid H.T. LAMB & CO. Goldsmiths & Medalists. Clerkwell London. Comes with copy newspaper article 1939.

Ambulance Sister N. Cantrell was given her medal in Sydney in 1939.

Note this is the silver medal, issued pre 1947.

The metal composition has evolved from its original silver, to silver plated base metal (1947), silver plated cupro-nickel (1960), before reaching its current rhodium-plated cupro-nickel composition in 1966.
