Australian AUG Trials bayonet & scabbard for the Austeyr Rifle. Square steel pommel, with locking lugs to side, with composite ribbed plastic grips. Muzzle ring guard assembly. Matt black 17cm long Bowie style blade, with saw back edge & wire cutter attachment slot. Canvas frog belt loop with grip snaps, attached by way removable steel clip which connects the composite scabbard body with wire cutter assembly. Scarce as these came out in 1984 with the first batches of the Steyr rifle to Australia for trials to replace the L1A1 service rifle.
