‘Battle of Britain’ movie German Luftwaffe General officer’s peaked cap. Good black peak, blue/grey wool crown, gilt bullion piped and to black cotton centre band, with gilt bullion eagle & cockade/wreath/wings. Gilt bullion chin cords attached to the side gilt finished, toned buttons. Excellent ‘saddle’ shape to crown, with no moth nips, damage or loose stitching. Interior retains cream silk liner, showing celluloid diamond and brown leather sweatband. In very good condition. Approx. size 58. The vendors father worked on the iconic 1969 film, working in the costume department at Pinewood Studios for 32 years.
