British 1853 72 SOCKET BAYONET & SCABBARD FOR MARTINI HENRY

Description

Offered is a British Spike bayonet to fit the Martini Henry rifle with original scabbard. 

Bayonet features a socket fitting head numbered V 101 with working locking collar. The 44 cm long triangular fullered steel blade in very good condition with no rust or post factory sharpening. Brass scabbard mounts excellent, 101 number to frog button matches the blade, all pins intact. leather stamped WD with broad arrow near throat, stitching good, break and leather repair halfway up leather body. Overall length 55cm.
