***SOLD*** 37mm wide circular silver medal with fixed claw and ribbon suspension bar, with campaign clasp ‘GARJAK NUER’; with an Arabic inscription signifying the name of Sultan Kamil to face, with the Arabic date of AH 1335 (1916-17). The reverse showing a lion poised on a plinth, with SUDAN written upon it, with the sunrise in the background. Un-named as issued and on the correct ribbon. The GARJAK NUER clasp was awarded to troops involved in the operations against the Garjak Nuer of the Upper Nile. Two columns were sent out of the Northern Command, under Major G. C. Cobden...

The GARJAK NUER clasp was awarded to troops involved in the operations against the Garjak Nuer of the Upper Nile. Two columns were sent out of the Northern Command, under Major G. C. Cobden from December 1919 until the end of April 1920.
The Khedive’s Sudan Medal was a campaign medal awarded by the Khedivate of Egypt for service during in Anglo-Egyptian Sudan. Established 1911, by the Khedive, this medal replaced the Khedive’s Sudan Medal (1897) and is rarely seen for sale
