COMMEMORATIVE D-DAY OVERLORD FAIRBAIRN & SYKES COMMANDO KNIFE SWORD WW2 STYLE

Description

Offered is an original 1990’s era 50th Anniversary D-Day/Operation Overlord commemorative 3^rd Pattern Fairbairn Sykes Commando fighting dagger & scabbard.

The dagger features a black enamelled metal one-piece steel ribbed grip, with inset oval metal guard. The 17.5cm long nickel-plated steel double edged blade features to one side and engraved bandeau ’50th ANNIVERSARY OPERATION OVERLORD D-DAY 6th JUNE 1994’. Nickel finish is in excellent condition, with minor in and out wear. Comes with the dark brown leather scabbard, retaining black enamelled steel end cap, leg ties and elastic fastener. No maker mark, but looks to be the type made by William Rodger of Sheffield. Total length of dagger 29.5cm.
