Offered is an original General Service Medal 1962-2007, with clasps Dhofar & Northern Ireland, to Sapper Scarfe, who served there with the Royal Engineers.

36mm circular silver medal with ornate scrolled ribbon suspension bar with clasps DHOFAR & NORTHERN IRELAND; the face with the crowned head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, circumscribed ‘ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F.D.’ (Elizabeth II by the Grace of God Queen Defender of the Faith); the reverse inscribed centrally ‘FOR CAMPAIGN SERVICE’, a Tudor crown above, all within an oak wreath; attributed on the edge to 24277640 SPR. K. SCARFE RE.; in good condition; being mounted as worn.
