Offered for sale is a framed reproduced set of all 7 of the Rising Sun badges as worn by the Australian Army since Federation in 1901. The history of the Rising Sun badge collection covers every major conflict the Australian Army has been involved in, including The First & Second World Wars, The Korean War, Vietnam, both Gulf Wars, including Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as East Timor.
The set contains all 7 hat badges, all approximately 60mm wide x 45mm high, housed in a hinged timber finish box. The left hand panel also gives a history of the rising sun badge and explains the significance of this powerful emblem to current and former soldiers, whilst the right panel contains the seven badges and years of service. The box size is 180mm wide x 230mm high x 30mm deep.
