FEDERATION STAR BADGE 1978 ROYAL AUSTRALIAN ENGINEERS UNIFORM SLOUCH HAT AKUBRA

Description

1978 dated Royal Australian Engineer’s slouch hat, by Akubra.

Full fur felt body, retaining good service shape, affixing clips to right side, correct pugaree, with RAE QC era cap badge, colour patch and the rare Federation Star rising sun badge, with two air vents to each side of crown. Interior retains leather chinstrap & sweatband, showing maker of Akubra and sized 55. Has been used/worn as shown, with generally use & storage wear etc, but would make a great display piece. The Fed star is an original and has been on this hat, with tight clips & exact holes to material etc.
